LED luminaires are a modern replacement for the now morally and technically obsolete luminaires with classic fluorescent lamps. They have a significantly lower energy consumption, a several times longer service lifetime, and no substances hazardous to the environment (e.g. mercury).
LED panels are luminaires with an attractive design intended for indoor areas as main and additional lighting. They are designed for installation in coffered ceilings as recessed lights or can be fixed to the ceiling or wall with frames as surface-mounted lights, or with cable hangers as pendant lights.
Back-lit panels represent the most modern technology. They differ from flat (slim) panels by the positioning of the LEDs on the back of the panel. This solution achieves better heat dissipation from the LEDs and increases the lifetime and light efficiency of the luminaire.
